SUMMARY:Club Overnight Camp at CTL
DESCRIPTION:2026 ESP Drew Swan Sibling Scholarship Application \n\nThe Drew Swan Sibling Scholarship is in honor of Andrew “Drew” Swan\, a loyal supporter of his sister\, Samantha and ESP\, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency in Watkinsville\, Georgia that creates opportunities for people with disabilities and their families. Drew\, at 19 years old\, was known for his passion\, wisdom and kindness. He tenderly cared for his sister\, Samantha\, in many ways\, including volunteering at ESP\, her favorite place.  \n\nDrew passed away on June 5\, 2017\, and his legacy along with his heart for his sister will live on through the Drew Swan Sibling Scholarship. This scholarship aims to recognize and support the remarkable role that siblings play in the lives of individuals with disabilities. \n\nHannah Nichols\, the recipient of the 2025 Drew Swan Sibling Scholarship\, plans to attend Mercer University for engineering to create accessible spaces for people with disabilities. Hannah has three siblings with disabilities and attributes these relationships to shaping her character and personal goals.  \n\nThe Drew Swan Sibling Scholarship is a one-year\, non-renewable award\, contingent upon acceptance or enrollment in a two-year or four-year nonprofit higher education institution for a sibling of an individual with disabilities in the state of Georgia. An award of $1\,500 will be given directly to the applicant’s higher education institution based on the applicant’s merit within the competitive pool. \n\nOnly one award will be offered each year\, and students may receive only one award through the Drew Swan Sibling Scholarship program. Unfortunately\, a Drew Swan Sibling Scholarship will not be offered to every excellent student who meets the eligibility requirements and applies. However\, we can ensure that each applicant will receive consideration and fair treatment in the selection process. \n\nThe Drew Swan Sibling Scholarship is now open and applications will be accepted through June 30th\, 2026. The 2026 recipient will be chosen in August. \n\nFor application materials and details\, visit: espyouandme.org/dss-scholarship/  \n\nAbout Extra Special People \n\nExtra Special People\, Inc. (ESP) is a nonprofit organization that creates transformative experiences for people with disabilities and their families\, changing communities for the better. Through summer camps\, year-round after-school programs\, employment opportunities and wrap-around family support ESP creates communities of belonging that ripple much further than its walls.
