SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) – ESP, which stands for Extra Special People, creates transformative experiences for people with disabilities and their families.

Now, they’re officially launching in Savannah!

Wednesday morning, they were at Omega Construction, serving coffee to employees and visitors.

It’s part of their Java Joy program, which employs adults with developmental disabilities.

They had a chance to be “joyristas” serving drinks and getting a hug from people.

The hope for this program is for everyone to get a meaningful exchange with an adult with a disability.

“ESP really transforms lives for the better, not just individuals with disabilities but them and their families. We have so much to offer and, maybe there’s someone out there that wants to volunteer, or come and join ESP, we would love to see everybody come together and create something very special,” said ESP Savannah spokesperson, Lily Moore.

They’ll be making a few more stops this week to celebrate their launch here in Savannah. Click here to learn more about this week’s community events and how to volunteer.
