Athens Camp Program Coordinator

The Summer Camp Program Coordinator has a vital role in planning and overseeing quality at ESP programs and events related to camp for all ESP families. ESP is seeking an individual who is passionate about creating transformative experiences and has a great eye for safety and recruitment. It is important for this role to be filled by someone who has a team-mindset and the ability to multitask. This position is specifically for the Watkinsville location of ESP with Summer Camp leadership at the Hooray location in Jefferson. This team member will be a vital part of ongoing collaboration and support for both locations and will be the onsite leader in Jefferson during the summer.

Athens Director of Development

ESP is seeking an experienced, energetic, and entrepreneurial fundraising leader to serve as the Director of Development for ESP serving the Athens and Watkinsville area community. This role leads the comprehensive development strategy, generates the resources necessary to advance ESP’s mission, and strengthens the relationships that sustain long-term community impact.

The Director of Development is the senior fundraising leader for the community. This position owns the community’s development plan and revenue goals, personally manages a portfolio of leadership annual and major-gift prospects, and leads local development staff toward shared outcomes. The Director will build a strong donor pipeline; cultivate relationships with individuals, businesses, foundations, and civic partners; and guide supporters through meaningful engagement with ESP.

Working in close partnership with the Executive Director and ESP’s broader Development team, the Director of Development will align local fundraising priorities with organizational strategy, strengthen a culture of philanthropy, and help the community grow toward long-term financial sustainability.

Chief Philanthropy Officer

The Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPO) will be a bold, relational, and results-driven professional who will serve as the organization’s senior philanthropic leader and a key member of the executive team. The CPO will build and lead a comprehensive, multi-year philanthropy strategy that fuels ESP’s growth and advances its mission: creating transformative experiences for people with disabilities and their families and changing communities for the better.

This is both an enterprise leadership role and a frontline fundraising role. The CPO will lead and develop a high-performing team, personally manage a portfolio of ESP’s most significant donors and prospects, partner closely with the CEO and boards, and strengthen the systems, culture, and relationships required for sustainable philanthropic growth.

The successful candidate will be a leader who has the strategic range, operational discipline, emotional intelligence, and organizational perspective to contribute well beyond fundraising. As ESP grows, this person will be expected to expand their enterprise leadership capacity and may be considered for broader organizational leadership opportunities over time based on performance, readiness, and the organization’s future needs.

Financial Controller

ESP is looking for a senior organizational leader to serve as a system builder and strategic partner while providing hands-on financial support as the organization expands over the next three years from a current $13M operational budget and five (5) sites today.

This role extends well beyond accounting and reporting. The Financial Controller is expected to lead with excellence, anticipate needs, solve problems, advise leaders, and continually improve how we steward our resources. We are looking for a leader that can build and influence culture in their team and throughout the organization.

As a member of ESP’s Leadership Team, the Financial Controller brings a thoughtful financial and business perspective to decisions across the organization. By developing a deep understanding of ESP’s mission, strategy, and operations, this leader identifies financial implications, risks, and opportunities—and works collaboratively to turn them into stronger outcomes and more opportunities for the communities we serve.

The ideal candidate will understand that stronger financial systems ultimately allow the organization to serve more people, expand responsibly, and create opportunities for staff to grow into new roles.

This role calls for someone who can deliver with excellence today while innovating possibilities for tomorrow—helping ESP remain financially strong, mission-focused, and prepared to serve more people and communities for years to come.
