ESPLAY
Extra Special People (ESP) creates year-round programs where people with disabilities build confidence, friendship, and independence — all within a community rooted in joyful hospitality. No one is ever turned away regardless of disability, age, or ability to pay.
ESPLAY
Connection for our youngest Members and their families.
ESPLAY is a joyful experience for children ages 0–4 and their families, centered on connection, and shared play. Families participate alongside their Member in a welcoming, low-pressure environment designed to initiate community and support social development all within the warmth of the ESP community.
Play with Purpose
ESPLAY is grounded in music therapy principles, using music intentionally to support early development in ways that feel natural and engaging.
Music therapy is the clinical and evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship. It is a well-established allied health profession that supports behavioral, social, psychological, communicative, physical, sensory-motor, and cognitive functioning.
Through rhythm, movement, and shared musical experiences, ESPLAY supports communication, social interaction, sensory engagement, and emotional expression. While the experience feels playful and joyful, each activity is thoughtfully designed to meet Members where they are and encourage growth through connection.
