After graduating from Southern Methodist University, I started my professional career in education as a Teach For America corps member in New Orleans, LA. I taught 4th grade for three years and then moved back to Atlanta (which is where I grew up) and worked on Teach For America’s recruitment team in various roles. After close to 5 years on staff, I transitioned over to Promise54, an education consulting non-profit, where I led the HR and internal operations function for the last 8 years.
Since moving to Athens in November 2021 from Atlanta, I’ve had the pleasure to get to know esp through Big Hearts, Miracle League games, taking my kids to the playground, Friend Friday and so much more. My husband (Carter), daughter (Parker), son (Davis) and I have absolutely loved living and building community in Athens. My faith, family’s involvement and relentless commitment to the esp mission is what drives me to do this work. It’s an honor to work with and learn from our participants and their families.
