Designed for Families

We understand that disabilities impact the whole family, not just the individual. esp’s By the Sea is created with entire family units in mind, providing a beachside retreat where everyone can relax, recharge, and reconnect.

We welcome individuals of all ages and abilities, creating an inclusive and adaptive environment. Whether young or old, with any disability, families are invited to experience the joy of the beach together.

esp’s By the Sea is a welcoming community where families of all beliefs and backgrounds can come together to create lasting memories. Our programming is focused on connection and joy, celebrating each person’s unique abilities and the special moments they share as a family.

Family FAQs

 Laguna Beach Christian Retreat, Panama City Beach FL

Our 2026 dates are Thursday, April 23rd- Sunday, April 26th. With the option to add on Wednesday, April 22nd to your stay. 

During esp By the Sea, your family will be paired with a Beach Buddy — a volunteer who will spend the weekend alongside you to make sure your beach experience is smooth, supported, and full of joy!

One of our partners for the trip, Bethlehem Church, will host an optional church service in the chapel on the property each morning after breakfast.

Activities throughout the weekend vary but include sandcastle building, swimming, beach games, and other fun group experiences.

This is a night to celebrate our esp parents and caregivers! Beach Buddies and esp Staff will stay with your kids at the Laguna Beach Christian Retreat while you enjoy an evening of fun and fellowship!
