Our 12-week afternoon program is designed to provide an inclusive environment where participants can learn and master skills. They are interactive and specifically tailored to meet our participants' needs. These afternoon programs offer a wide variety of classes both on and off the ESP campus from art and cooking to yoga and our very own swim team. Classes are for all ages and abilities.
Our weekend social events include basketball games, dance parties, visits to the corn maze and so much more! They are an integral part of helping ESP's participants develop relationships, social skills, and lifelong friendships. Our special events include holiday parties and inclusive opportunities for the whole family to engage.
The Miracle League is a national organization that brings the magic of accessible baseball and play to kids of all abilities by removing the physical barriers that keep children with disabilities from active participation. In 2018, ESP announced the dream to provide our community with its own Miracle League facility! In December 2019, we completed our $1.4 million goal and began the journey to construct our very own complex by 2020-2021.
[Mock Ups] ESP Teams will play baseball on custom-designed, rubberized turf fields. A fully accessible playground will provide opportunities for recreation and inclusion to not just ESP participants, but to the entire community. Children of all abilities will engage in play together, and children without disabilities will continue to include kids with disabilities as they grow up.
The ESP Miracle League will expand ESP’s recreation programs while creating an inclusive community for all. Soon, it will be built in ESP’s very own backyard overlooking the beautiful Harris Shoals Park.
