Dress Down with the Dawgs and Beat Bama!

Did you know that over 400,000 individuals live with Down syndrome in the United States alone? These individuals with Down syndrome deserve to be given the same opportunities as everyone else. We cheer them on endlessly, and ESP loves any chance to spread awareness and support for people with all abilities!

During all of October, ESP is celebrating Down Syndrome Awareness Month! We have partnered with the on-campus organization, ESP@UGA, to raise awareness for our Down syndrome dawgs and fundraise for ESP. This Fall, football fans are choosing to Dress Down with the Dawgs! Dress Down originated as a campaign in which individuals dress casually for football games to show their support for individuals with Down syndrome. This is playing off the trend to wear graphic tees to games as more people gravitate towards “dressing down” at SEC games rather than “dressing up,” as is tradition.

ESP Parents: Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 17th from 11AM-2PM to attend a Club Dress Down with the Dawgs event. In our spacious lawn area, we will be hosting a safe tailgate get-together to eat, dance, and celebrate one another! Chick-fil-A will be catered, and there will be a buddy excited to cheer on each participant in various games and more! The Redcoats will be joining us along with the UGA Paint Line to ensure our participants feel the full UGA game experience!

Sign your child up today.

ESP at UGA has hosted this campaign for many years, and although it will look slightly different this year, we are beyond excited to dress down for our friends! Anyone can participate in Dress Down by purchasing a T-shirt to show your support. Wear it at a home tailgate party before the game, around town, or even out and about! What better time than now while we’re all at home to dress down?

Get your shirt before it’s too late!
